If there is a company that has managed to grow and capitalize on their brand, that has been Apple. Legend has it that they chose their name (apple) because they are not think of anything better, or because Steve Jobs was very fond of this fruit, but in 1994 Apple made an official explanation of the meaning of the brand:

not normally associate fruit with a computer, so the logo is easy to remember. Apple cause good feelings, it is not controversial and is associated with health.
